Course: Job Interview Skills

Skills Focus: Speaking (including Body Language), Listening, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary and Grammar. 

Has your dream job been advertised and the interview is in English? Increase your personal confidence and self-expression as you prepare for your job interview. Learn how to: build rapport with your interviewers, use effective language to describe yourself, ask interesting questions, and feel confident and comfortable answering questions.

We do this by: 

  • Developing vocabulary to enhance your self-expression
  • Exploring what real confidence is and practicing rapport building 
  • Creating quality answers and analysing their language features
  • Practicing interview skills through role-play
  • Practicing pronunciation 
  • Recording your speaking and analysing language use
  • Watching educational videos and discussing content
  • Considering intercultural competence and how this impacts etiquette
  • Anticipating questions prospective interviewers may ask
  • Inviting special guests to act as interviewers. 

Full program (8 hours – $800: Job Interview Skills contains 4 PARTS. Each PART is designed to be delivered in 2-hour sessions (plus homework). However, this timeframe is variable according to client’s needs.

Workshops: (2 hours – $200): Choose a topic and focus area that suits your goals.

  • English grammar check

PART 4 – CONFIDENCE, RAPPORT BUILDING AND PROFESSIONAL SUITABILITY

What is real confidence? Do people think I’m sincere, trust-worthy and professional?

  • self-belief / self-expression / empathy and connection
  • body language and etiquette 
  • Personality tests /  behavioural questions (STAR method)
  • writing applications and program participation letters
  • English grammar check
